Teamwork

In 2020 Twitter announced that they would allow their employees to work from home permanently. The initial reason for this shift in traditional thinking is that many global organisations see how virtual technologies can “level the playing field” for international and remote teams. Although big corporations had already started to give employees more freedom where they’d be based, 2020 certainly forced businesses into operating in a different manner.

However, with this shift comes it’s drawbacks. Staff feel isolated, burnouts have been on the rise, mental health has suffered and there’s been difficulties in monitoring individuals performance.

While a degree of friendly competition among staff members can be healthy, a business profits most when everyone is working together smoothly as a team and it’s without a doubt the future of big business. Being a master of one or a jack-of-all-trades in today’s world does not bring about success if you are unable to work as part of a team. So, being able to demonstrate your worth in a remote working, team environment will be high on the agenda for hiring managers
